DATA-DRIVEN interaction DESIGN / Summer Season ’26

06 / Design thinking

Solve the right problem before you build.

Design thinking is a way of working that starts with the people who have the problem, reframes what is really worth solving, and tests cheap prototypes before a single expensive decision is locked in.

A tangled problem resolving into an idea, a prototype, and a loop of learningA knotted problem passes through a lens, becomes an idea and a rough prototype, and a feedback loop returns the learning to the start.

How HAAM helps

Fall in love with the problem, not the first solution.

Most products fail because they answer the wrong question well. Design thinking keeps the work close to real people, makes ideas cheap to try, and moves failure to where it costs an afternoon instead of a quarter.

Understand and reframe

We sit with the people affected, watch how they actually work, and turn scattered observations into one sharp, human problem statement worth solving.

A problem framed around evidence, not opinion.

Diverge, then prototype

We generate many possible answers before committing, then make the strongest just real enough to react to—a sketch, a clickable mock, a landing page.

Ideas made cheap enough to be wrong.

Test cheap, then decide

Real people meet the prototype and we watch where confidence breaks. What we learn feeds straight back into the problem, and the loop tightens each pass.

A direction proven before it gets expensive.

What you leave with

Better products, arrived at on purpose.

You get a reframed problem, prototypes that earned their place, and a tested direction the whole team shares—so the roadmap commits to what already survived contact with users.

Useful from day one

  • Reframed problem statement
  • Rapid prototypes to react to
  • Evidence from real user tests
  • A validated product direction

Bring the hard part

Let’s make the next move clear.

Bring the uncertainty, the awkward workflow, or the product that needs proof before another round of effort.
